The word of the week is believe.

Attorney Marshawn Evans Daniels refused to allow what others thought she should be doing prevent her from pursuing from what she felt that she was called to do. For example, instead of pursuing a particular scholars program, she decided that she would compete in the Miss America pageant to raise awareness of youth crime prevention. She finished as third runner-up and received thousands of dollars in scholarships. Ultimately, she was able to use these funds to graduate from graduate debt-free from Georgetown University Law Center.

After working at a prestigious law firm, Attorney Evans Daniels left to create her own sports firm. She is now a reinvention strategist, life coach, and author of the book “Believe Bigger”.

Check out this episode to hear Attorney Evans Daniels discuss how she negotiated her salary as a summer associate, her decision to not actively practice law, and what she feels is her most meaningful accomplishment.
